Herman Haupt and the locomotive bearing his name, together with John H. Devereux at the station bearing his.
Devereux Station on the USMRR-run O&A was in Clifton, Va. The nearest flat car is No. 296. The man at center right supervising is Herman Haupt. An unidentified photographer, shooting 8 x 10 inch negatives, accompanied Russell on this excursion, and here they set up their cameras side by side – see Related Image AABT.
