Abdill, Civil War Railroads, p80: In addition to the holes blown in her stack and tank, the LEACH has her rear steam dome cover knocked askew, and the photo shows the left main rod taken down. The damage was inflicted on August 1st, 1863, as the locomotive was running along the tracks of the Orange & Alexandria Railroad near Union Mills, Virginia.
