MOLLUS Collection says: View of interior of Enemy’s works at Port Hudson, looking outwards towards attack. 1st Miss. Where main attack was to be made. Our mine was under the centre of the picture, and our sap opened into the ditch at about the same place. Two 30-lbs Parrotts, 2 mortars & Bainbridge’s (2 guns (rifled)), Cox’s (2 rifles), Duryea’s (6 Napoleons & 1 20-lbs Parrott), the Naval (3 9-in.), and Mack’s (5 20-bs Parrotts) Batteries & some of Holcomb’s guns (Sawyer’s rifles) playe into this picture at distances from 140 to 500 yds & a parallel ran along the adjacent line at 50 yds distance fro 200 yds about. Powder from ine, shell & cannisters from guns, storming party from sap, army from parallel [indecipherable].
