Our mine was under the centre of the picture, and our sap opened into the ditch at about the same place. Two 30-lbs Parrotts, 2 mortars & Bainbridge’s (2 guns (rifled)), Cox’s (2 rifles), Duryea’s (6 Napoleons & 1 20-lbs Parrott), the Naval (3 9-in.), and Mack’s (5 20-bs Parrotts) Batteries & some of Holcomb’s guns (Sawyer’s rifles) playe into this picture at distances from 140 to 500 yds & a parallel ran along the adjacent line at 50 yds distance fro 200 yds about. Powder from ine, shell & cannisters from guns, storming party from sap, army from parallel [indecipherable].
