MOLLUS Collection says: Port Hudson, La. Mill in which the garrison ground their corn. Machinery entirely destroyed by our artillery firing at the sound of the grinding – after this the corn was issued on the cob as bread ration till they managed to grind a little with a locomotive engine in the station on the bluff.
