Fort Wiki says: Fort Harker, Alabama in 1862. This appears to be a view of the northwest bastion.
MOLLUS Collection says: Fort McCook [sic], Stevenson, Alabama. [Napoleon Gun at Fort McCook, Stevenson, Alabama]
Miller, Photographic History of the Civil War, Vol. 2, p167 says: This picture of Fort Barker [sic], at Stevenso, shows the care with which the Federals defended this advance base. In this fort, which was about 150 feet square, there were barbette platforms for seven guns and an extensive magazine, and bomb-proof. Fort Mitchell, south of the station on the other side of the railroad, was equally strong. The two forts guarded the approach from the north.
